Medical Payment Office Claims Representative Sue Sutphin will retire on April 1 after nearly 10 years of dedicated service.
After nearly a decade with Farm Bureau and a long career in the insurance industry, Sue Sutphin is beginning a well-earned retirement.
Sue joined Farm Bureau in August 2016, bringing with her many years of experience in the insurance industry. Before coming to Farm Bureau, she spent 30 years with Farmers Insurance, where she worked until the company closed its local office in Pocatello.
Born in Seattle, Sue has spent most of her life in the Pocatello area, where she built both her career and strong connections within the community.
Reflecting on her time at Farm Bureau, Sue says the people she worked with made the experience especially meaningful. “I have met and worked with some great people along the way,” she said. “I will miss the friendships I have acquired.”
Family will play a big role in Sue’s retirement. She and her family have one son who lives in Boise with his wife and their two grandsons, including a new grandson who arrived in January. Sue is especially looking forward to spending more time with her family and friends.
Outside of work, Sue enjoys camping, yardwork, and relaxing afternoons on the patio, often surrounded by family and friends.
Retirement is already shaping up to be an exciting new chapter. Sue has a trip to Nashville planned the week after her retirement, a destination that has been on her bucket list for many years. She’s also looking forward to visiting the beautiful country of Tennessee and the surrounding areas.
Looking further ahead, Sue and her family have booked their first cruise to the Bahamas next year.
Of course, plenty of time with her grandsons will be part of the plan as well.
